Mr. Westerman is the Director of Microgrid Project Development and Engineering in Schneider Electric’s Microgrid Competency Center. In this capacity, he is responsible for providing technical expertise to various sales teams and working with a team of solution architects to model, design, develop and implement microgrid solutions. He has more than 30 years of experience in the development, evaluation, and application of emerging energy technologies and systems. He is currently working on several microgrids that focus on electric vehicle charging solutions including a fleet of 20 Class 8 Trucks, a fleet of 40 transit buses, a fleet of 30 electric school buses, a chain of hotels, and a transit agency/city bi-directional charging solution. Mr. Westerman has a BS in Physics from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), an MBA from the University of San Diego, and a patent on an energy storage system.
