Empowering Sustainable Transit: Montgomery County’s Microgrid Revolution
Date & Time

Description

The push for decarbonization has the transportation industry at a crossroads, seeking ways to shift to zero emission vehicles at a speed and scale needed to combat climate change. Successful ZEV fleet scaling takes hardened infrastructure across integrated charging, power, and energy infrastructure, especially at the local level. The spotlight will be Montgomery County’s Equipment Maintenance and Operations Center (EMTOC) microgrid project. Once built, EMTOC will be the largest self-sustaining bus depot in the United States and the first on the East Coast with on-site green hydrogen production.
