The need for localized and self-sufficient distributed power solutions is a growing consideration for achieving sustainability goals and ensuring reliable energy systems in both the public and private sectors. However, moving toward full electrification places additional burdens on grid power and raises questions about adequacy of supply and reliability.
Microgrids and hybrid energy solutions involving highly integrated resources -such as renewables working in tandem with diesel or gas gen-sets and energy storage- are proven options to ensure that mission critical power reliability while also reducing energy costs and reducing energy costs.
This session will highlight the resiliency role of internal combustion engines, feature case studies by leading power system providers and focus on opportunities for hybrid energy projects.
