Broderick Bagert is an organizer with Together Louisiana, a coalition of 250 congregations and citizen organizations that builds citizen power to work on a broad range of issues. After Hurricane Ida in 2021, Broderick and this network of faith and community leaders launched the Community Lighthouse project, a strategy to build solar + storage microgrids serving as resilience hubs in every neighborhood across Louisiana. The project has grown into the largest network of solar + storage resilience hubs in the country, with ten locations, fully operational, and 400 more planned for the future.
