Mr. Griffin has 34 years of experience in renewable energy, finance, M&A, restructuring & portfolio management. As Founder of Hover Energy, Chris has spent the last 18 years in Renewable Energy, including as CEO of Regenedyne LLC, the Intellectual Property (“IP”) predecessor to Hover Energy.

Chris studied Aerospace Engineering and holds a BA from The University of Virginia, and an MBA from the UVA Darden School of Business. For 2 decades, he held the Series 7, 63 & 66 Securities Licenses with FINRA; Chris has overseen the filing of 36 Patents thus far, 22 of which have been awarded; He has been a Licensed Pastor since 2014; He has been continuously credentialed since 2017 as LEED AP BD&C by the US Green Building Council and in 2021 completed the Stanford University Certificate in Energy Efficiency & Innovative Technologies (EEIT). He has been a featured Speaker at the United Nations twice, AWEA, VERGE, CIFMA (Cayman Islands), Financing the Energy Transition (UK), and RE+.

Chris has lived in Texas for 21 years, is married to his amazing wife, Sumer, and they have a beautiful daughter who is engaged and works as a Child Life Specialist at Children’s Hospital in Plano. Chris enjoys traveling, truly getting to know people, loves running/training for races of all lengths and is honored to serve others daily in any way he can.
