The company is focused on large-scale microgrids that benefit multiple customers. The company also develops standalone and behind-the-meter municipal solar projects. It is presently engaged by Cuyahoga Green Energy in Ohio, serving as CGE’s Utility Partner to help stand up the first microgrid-focused municipal utility in the US. Through its projects, the Utility aims to enhance community resilience, stimulate commercial activity, and improve the quality of life for local residents. Compass is developing three large-scale microgrid projects for CGE, along with a behind-the-meter solar coop that benefits commercial, industrial, and government facilities.
