Valerie is the Deputy Administrator for Cuyahoga Green Energy. In this role, she helps to administer local renewable energy projects. She is part of the team that is working to establish the newly formed county utility and to deploy industrial microgrids throughout the region.

Prior to joining the County, Valerie worked for Solar United Neighbors, a nonprofit advocacy organization that works to make rooftop solar more affordable and more accessible. She also spent many years working as an educator, developing curriculum and teaching biology and environmental science to high school students.
