With more than thirty years of experience, Dennis is a leading energy infrastructure executive and clean energy strategist who has directed major initiatives in power generation, renewable energy, grid modernization, and civil infrastructure across the country. As CEO of Blue Lake Clean Energy Group, he has overseen support for some of the country's most consequential energy and infrastructure projects, spanning electric transmission, solar, microgrids, geothermal energy, battery storage, water and wastewater systems, transportation, and community resilience hubs. Dennis specializes in advancing complex energy infrastructure in regulated and urban environments, with a focus on resilience, decarbonization, and grid modernization. His work includes campus microgrid and thermal energy network planning, solar and distributed energy integration, and the development of resilience hubs that sustain critical services during grid disruptions. He is recognized for bridging engineering, construction, and stakeholder governance to help utilities, public agencies, and institutions deliver infrastructure that enhances reliability, sustainability, and community resilience. He is currently at the forefront of the convergence between AI-driven power demand and clean energy infrastructure. Dennis serves as a technical advisor to a multi-billion dollar family fund advisory service with a global focus on clean energy and infrastructure development, bringing established C-suite relationships across major utilities to bear on the industry's most urgent challenges. He is actively advising a university on the development of a campus microgrid, supporting two municipalities on the implementation of community resiliency hubs, and has served as a senior advisor to a Southeastern nonprofit building microgrid infrastructure in underserved communities. He also supports and advises several geothermal and thermal energy network projects across the country. A former U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officer and platoon leader, Dennis has held senior leadership roles across Fortune 500 companies and founded multiple successful ventures in the energy and infrastructure sectors. He has been featured in Microgrid Knowledge, serves as a speaker and moderator at leading industry forums including GRID FWD and the Think Microgrid Policy Summit, and serves on the Advisory Board of the Annual Microgrid Knowledge Conference. Dennis is an active policy advocate, working alongside SANE Energy, E2, and 350 Brooklyn to advance clean energy legislation, accelerate the transition away from fossil fuels, and ensure that the benefits of a clean energy economy reach all communities. He is also an active member of the American Association of Blacks in Energy, The Climate Reality Project, Clean Energy for America, the Clean Energy Business Network, and Public Power New York. He has previously served on the board of AHARI, an organization dedicated to housing for homeless veterans. He is a graduate of the NMSDC Executive Management Program at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Exelon Foundation Clean Energy Program, and holds certificates in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from MIT and Microgrid Design from Arizona State University.
