Tim is the Director of Energy Services & Technology at NCEC where he leads the DER PM and Engineering teams that direct and oversee the design, construction, commissioning, and operational support of North Carolina’s Electric Cooperatives DER Fleet. This includes 5 diverse microgrids, 13 solar + storage sites, and 20 substation collocated battery energy storage systems. Tim has 16 years of utility design experience including: nuclear plants, transmission, distribution, and microgrid design. He has a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University and is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of North Carolina.
