Ken Horne is the Head of Portfolio Operations with Spring Lane Capital where he leads technical diligence, asset monitoring, and value creation across all portfolio assets and serves within selected portfolio companies in interim executive and board roles. Mr. Horne is also a co-founder, advisory board member, and lead instructor at Developer University, a non-profit organization dedicated to accelerating sustainable infrastructure deployment through targeted training and educational programs. Prior to joining Spring Lane, Ken served as a Director at Guidehouse (formerly Navigant Consulting) where he advised senior executives on energy asset due diligence, infrastructure investment, and project development strategy. Ken previously co-founded and served as COO / CFO for a PE-backed community microgrid development platform and co-founded and served as COO / CFO for a founder-funded early-stage technology company. Ken’s early career included roles as design, project, and operations engineer, industrial infrastructure planning strategist, performance improvement consultant, and capital program director at firms including Phillips Petroleum Company, Arthur D. Little, and Charles River Associates. Ken holds an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from MIT’s Sloan School of Business and a Masters in Industrial Engineering from the University of Houston. He also holds a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Philosophy from Iowa State University. Mr. Horne is a licensed Professional Engineer and a certified Project Management Professional.
