John Friskel is an Analyst with PG&E's Microgrid Strategy Implementation team, where he contributed to the development of PG&E’s Community Microgrid Enablement Tariff (CMET) and supporting microgrid programs. John was the Project Manager for PG&E's first Community Microgrid, the Redwood Coast Airport Microgrid (RCAM), in Humboldt County and is currently the Project Manager for PG&E's Clean Substation Microgrid in Calistoga.

Prior to joining PG&E, John was an electrical contract manager with LendLease and Cupertino Electric and spent 13 years in the renewable energy markets as a project originator for two leading renewable energy firms. In his spare time, John enjoys photographing the night sky and reading about the rise and fall of civilizations.
