Lance has worked for Southern Company and its subsidiaries for the past 24 years. At the beginning of this year, he began leading Georgia Power’s regulated programs implementation teams, including electric transportation, renewables, and resiliency. Prior to this role Lance managed Georgia Power’s new Distributed Energy Resource Customer Program and provided leadership and direction towards delivering resiliency solutions to commercial and industrial customers. His previous roles include leading teams in many different functions including Power Generation, Generation Development, Business Development, Asset Management, Regulatory Affairs, and Customer Solutions. Over the years, Lance has led the development of projects of all different types and scales ranging from natural gas combustion turbine facilities to more distributed solar and storage projects. He is well versed in working and contracting with customers and suppliers, as well as supporting utility resource planning and rate cases and developing tariffs and agreements to support regulated programs. Lance holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Missouri University of Science & Technology and an MBA from William Carey University in Mississippi. He currently resides in Atlanta with his wife and three children.
