Lance Haman has worked for Southern Company and its electric utility subsidiaries for the past 25 years. In his current role, Lance manages teams responsible for the implementation of Georgia Power’s renewables and resiliency programs which includes behind the meter solar integration, renewables subscriptions, and distributed energy resources utilized for backup service.

His previous roles include leading teams in many different functions including Power Generation, Generation Development, Business Development, Asset Management, Regulatory Affairs, and Customer Solutions. Over the years, Lance has led the development of projects of all different types and scales ranging from large natural gas combustion turbine facilities to smaller scale distributed solar and storage projects. He is well versed in working and contracting with customers and suppliers, as well as supporting utility resource planning and rate cases and developing tariffs and agreements to support regulated programs.

Lance holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Missouri University of Science & Technology and an MBA from William Carey University in Mississippi.
