The technologies now exist to deliver a new power system in our culture. Not only to our culture here in the US, but to communities around the world in need of a more resilient solution than the one currently being used. Centralized power helped advance our economy for years, and yet even today, with the growth of renewable power deployments at scale, large central power production retains an inherent risk that can be overlooked. It’s not resilient. Single points of failure not only create mass concerns during natural disasters, but also pose a strategic, and therefore military, risk that can only be solved through decentralization. Microgrids are the answer. And of course, all in attendance will agree, that is why we’re here. However, “how” is the challenge. This Session will tackle how multiple production sources, innovation and collaboration are not only the answer for a single microgrid offtaker, but potentially for an entire grid redesign. Come dream together with us as Hover proposes to Flip the Model and turn the existing grid into a backup power system.
